Daily blogs! How about a monthly blog - LOL!

Just finished with the pet food recall scare affecting my little corner of the world. I received an email notification that my dog's food was being recalled as a precaution. I was concerned and so I took Molly in for the suggested blood
workup. Doctor called the following day with an A-Okay!

Quilting: I finished a Jan Patek project that I bought last year at Rosemont. It is one of her folk art angel patterns.

But I'd love to make this one........ It's from her book "Angels". The patterns is called Angels We Have Heard. It is very Snowbound - ish, don't you think? OH NO,now I feel like the mouse in If You Give a Mouse a Cookie .... now I want to get out my Snowbound UFO and look at it which means then I'll want to start working on it, which means then I'll need to call/email my friends to alert them to this moment, which will then make me want to look at blogs! LOL Yes, I do have a Snowbound UFO and I would really like to dig it out of UFOland and start it up - hey, maybe for summer - PERFECT!

Tomorrow is our May Banquet for PPQG. The ladies have been working on a challenge project called -You Go, Girl! It is a 15 inch wide and about 36 inches long wall hanging that is supposed to look like each designer. We shall see! (I was the chairperson for this challenge but did I make it - NO!) Geri and I have been working on Raffle Tickets, pictures, May Banquet stuff and programs for Heritage Guild (big job) so we haven't had any time to quilt. Geri is SIZZIXING - right now - as I write! Lucky, girl!

No I haven't forgotten the Lewis and Clark quilt - I told you the quilt would take longer than their actual trip! I've completed
"Antique Glory" kit with the tumbling blocks cheater panel that I bought at the booth of the Country Sampler Quilt Shop in Spring Green, Wisconsin. I also finished (in a couple of hours, I might add) the "little photo keepsake case" - check out their website for the pictures. I would love the angel statue that appears in their summer "tour"! This shop had to be my FAVORITE at Rosemont!

What I'm Reading:
Don't Tell the Girls: a Family Memoir by Patricia Reilly Giff. This charming book tells Patricia's family history - well, almost!
I am a big fan of this author. Her "Ronald Morgan" series is well loved by my first graders. She's also written the Candy Corn Contest, Lily's Crossing and Nory Ryan's Song. I wish I could write just one book like Patricia!

Happy Spring
