Take a look at this - a quilted UFO! This is a pattern from Edyta Sitar, Laundry Basket Quilts. As of Monday June 18, 2007 at 11:00 PM this was just a quilt top - and a pretty pathetic top I might add, because I didn't follow Edyta's directions and use the right fusible so all the geranium petals were falling off - but at 11:05 PM I decided to finish it all up so I could take to my guild meeting on Tuesday because we're having Edyta out to teach a class and this pattern was one of the choices.- I haven't machined quilted in a LONG time ..... I was a little rusty AND I used a fusible batt AND my tiny machine quilting needle kept shredding the thread AND I didn't want to BOTHER changing the bobbin thread from red to green AND it was late at night AND when I changed the needle from tiny to regular it made bigger holes AND this top sat around in my sewing room for at least a year...... I think it turned out great! I think another part of my inspiration came because I used some garden fabric for the back that came from a guild member. The back was perfect because it hid all my bad stitching!
Done is better than sitting in a box!
