I finished my "doggie" embroidery project! So I can take that UFO off the list. Now I can get back to the applique basket project. All the baskets are in repro browns I'd love to throw in some pink (peppermint and sassafras) but I'm not sure how I can work it in.
As far as crafting goes - I can't get enough of making little tiny boxes from old cards! I am obsessed!!!! I taught everyone at the library how to do the project and now they are obsessed! One of the library ladies actually came up to me yesterday and showed me a card she just received and said "Won't this make a great box!" She even made a box for her dad (he's in his 80's) and he treasures it so much that he keeps his hearing aid batteries inside.
I just filled the bird feeders and bather - here they come!. The birds could hardly wait - as I filled up the big green feeder they were actually perched in the branch above my head while making tiny little cheeps. (I am getting so much closer to feeding the chickadees right out of my hand!)
Our snow is dwindling. Today it is a little icey walking through the snow - my usual route - as I take Molly out for her morning jaunt. I do not like ice. Plus, I think Molly has given up on using the patio. She seems to like that only when she is desperate! But I don't mind walking her so I am happy she will use the patio when the weather is scarey. She would never do that before - maybe it's because she will be 7 years old in April - she's maturing!
My dream is to bring a second dog into the house. I have not been successful because Molly seems to resist. However last night I watched the TV show The Dog Whisperer and he was picking out a second dog for a family. He said that you should pick a dog with a lower energy level than the first dog! That is a great tip!
Do you Twitter? I do!

Hi Winnie, Love your posts...I haven't looked at blogs in awhile, love Molly's Christmas photos...cute. You'll have to show me how to do that. You have to get cleats for the bottom of your boots, they're a couple of dollars and I think at Walmart. They're rubber and stretch onto the bottom of your boot, easy to take on and off, there's little teeth so you can walk on ice with no problem. I got them after falling on the ice, they work great.
