Bird Watching

I've joined a formal bird watching group. I saw my first Indigo Bunting and Yellow throated Warbler (no pics) - I am hooked! I did take some great pics of butterflies and a wild orchid!

The first picture is of the open prairie! This view greeted us as we began to walk!

Here's a little flower in the footpath!

This butterfly was very tiny. It took many clicks to catch him with his wings open to the sun!

This is the Illinois wild orchid that the volunteer highlighted for me!

((( hand waving in air )))........ME TOO! ME TOO! I too love to watch birds. Just last week I had 20..yes, count em..20 baby quail marched from wandering around my garden, cross the backyard up the back steps and stood on my back porch just like they were supposed to be there!!! I was looking out my kitchen window and saw the whole thing!!! I have spent hours looking with my binoculars. I've seen Painted Buntings, Cardinals, Bullock Orioles etc. etc. I love it!!

Such a peaceful place! I live in the country and I could fall asleep just listenint to the birds sing.

Thank you for visiting my blog, I am truly enjoying working on these Love Letter blocks. I also have the Diary quilt started too, I think I have 55 blocks of it done. I just love these quilts!
