The sewing room is back together! My friend, Cathy, came over on Thursday morning and helped me put the final cabinet together so I put everything back in order Friday morning. My big tip of the day - NO MORE OPEN SHELVES! What a wonderful difference it makes to have all the sewing STUFF behind closed cabinets - I feel so organized! Now whether I am ORGANIZED is another subject!

I spent most of the weekend sewing bindings onto two quilts. I also finished up a few projects that I found while I was organizing. That felt very good!

During all this re-organization I discovered some music that I haven't listened to in a very long time. It was Lionel Richie "Back to Front" - you know how music can take you back in time, well this one put me on a real roller coaster trip down memory lane. But I realized that the time I spent sewing, cleaning and singing provided effective therapy!

Okay, I didn't just sew - I watched NASCAR both Saturday and Sunday races! I also finished a book - Real Men Work in the Pits - yes, I know it's a NASCAR book - I'm not obsessed - the book just looked interesting - and it turned out to be very good. As an "almost new" fan it gave me insight into what goes on behind the scenes. It was a very "nuts and bolts" type of book. It gave a great overview of the sport. I recommend it highly!
