I think Spring is right around the corner - how do I know? - My Jewel is setting up the Outdoor Garden Shop! I can almost feel the warm summer breeze on my face as I sit on my patio sipping a Gin and Tonic! Do you hear the birds singing softly in the trees? AAAAHHHH....

Back to life. In the past few weeks I've gone to two great quilt shows, Plainfield and Hinsdale. Excellent quilts - I took a ton of pictures! They were both so inspiring that I wanted to sit right down and sew! Instead I've been baking - Irish Soda Bread. I make the best - if I do say so myself. I've been baking it and then giving it away!

Watched Sunday's race - WOW - how can anyone say racing is BORING! That was a very exciting race! Jimmie Johnson is awesome! Do you think Chad Knaus is biting his fingernails? I heard Jimmie make a comment as if to say that Knaus is okay but he's likin' his new chief better - Oh, oh! Never fear, Friday it will be back to truck racing. Dare I say that I'm keeping my fingers crossed for Mark!

I just finished reading My Life in the Pits by Ronda Rich. I've included an Amazon link so just click and read the first review. It pretty much says it all, although I did enjoy the book! I found the book to be a little fluffy but still entertaining. Now I'm reading Daytona by Ed Hinton - this one has been a page-turner because the author starts off by discussing his editing dilema. The book was finished and then Dale died. He was a good friend so should he go back and soften some of the Earnhardt passages? He decided not to because Dale wouldn't have wanted the story told that way. It was interesting to read Ronda's book and then Ed's because they both discuss lots of the same people but they each tell very DIFFERENT tales from very different perspectives.

One of my new favorite TV shows is on CMT and it 's called Trick My Truck. I enjoy the story that goes with each rig. Another CMT favorite is Crossroads. I started watching when they had Lionel Richie and Kenny Rogers singing together. Very cool! Then they had Kenny Chesney and John Mellenkamp - I love Chesney (they just should have had Kenny sing!) but together these guys didn't have a spark.

My books: Woof by Elliott Erwitt great photos of dogs from ALL OVER THE WORLD.

My music: Celtic Treasures
