September is moving along so quickly. Yesterday as I walked my dog... the air, the sounds, the smells all spoke of FALL. The temps are getting cooler the mornings are so brisk. I really enjoy this time of year. The cooler weather invigorates my soul. I've been sitting here reading Judy's blog (that was a link from the Maureen World blog) and decided to print a RECIPE for Amish Pumpkin Cinnamon Rolls. Now, I will keep you posted if I actually bake the rolls because if you know me then you understand how odd this desire is....baking is not my thing.... but the season of Fall always inspires me to cook and bake. I crave something cinnamony in my house so much so that I will even BAKE to achieve that goal. This time of year I start to drag out the potpourri, light the pumpkin spice candles and get out the cinnamony recipes! I want the world to be draped in cinnamon! Would that it could!
Quilting? Yes I'd love to sew but I'm back to school so I haven't seen my sewing room since the Stamping Expo flurry. But now I have two projects (really more than that but these are immediate) one is a quilt block for my church and the other is a block for my guild's bus trip, that must be done! The bus trip block looks REALLY, REALLY, HARD! And I don't have a lot of time to make it!!!!!!!!! The church block is time consuming because it's not my style or fabric which means I have to shop to complete it - not what I want to be doing right now! EEEK!
NASCAR ....... go Jeff!!!!! I was glad to see him earn the pole! I'm not a huge fan but I love to follow his story. Kevin.....they found something funky with the car...can't do that anymore....will his success continue - I hope so! Big fan of Kevin ('cause Carl is not in the chase)!!!!!!! And of course I want Mark Martin to do well! And Denny he's got to stay on top. This must be so exciting for him and his family. Today I will watch the truck race and tomorrow the Cup race. I'm so glad I have the Speed channel because then I will watch everything in between.
