- I've read On Christmas Eve by Ann Martin, a few NASCAR books, another book on horse racing.
- Went to my local Borders bookstore for a premiere party of Bob Stroud's Rock and Roll Roots Volume 8. This event ended up being a fabulous, amazing and free concert of The Buckinghams, New Colony Six, Jim Petterick (Ides of March)and Bob Stroud. I never thought in a million years that I would LIVE to hear these guys do a live concert much less hear them in a venue so small I felt like they were jamming in my living room. I think they sounded better than any CD or vinyl recording, could that be possible?! I stayed around after the show and got ALL the guys to signed my CD insert - NICE GUYS!!!! I made a short DVD after I got home to commerate the experience.
- Completed 2 more BOM's in the Thimbleberries Club. That brings me up to October's BOM. I had been stuck in August because I had a mental block over half square triangles and quarter square triangles.
- Went to a great Brunch at a friend's home!
- Attended two work Christmas parties (so far) and had lots of fun.
- Finished - YEAH - a marketing video for work.
- Helped plan my guild's fantastic Christmas banquet - we are a very small group but a very caring group!
- bought a new wall grouping for over my couch - out with the old picture and in with a barn red star and black shelf unit! I can't wait to put it up! I bought this group at my favorite store in Crown Point, Indiana called Keepsakes. The store has primitive, folky stuff - love it all! They had to relocate due to a fire in the old store but the new store is beautiful - it has a new "feel" but they have wonderful things that aren't cluttery but folky!
- Went to a Quilters Christmas Party in Cedar Lake, Indiana. The house could haven been the setting for an old-fashioned country Christmas story - it had at least 5 Christmas trees! The food was home cooked! (Alice loves to cook, the 2 stoves were the first clue!) The home was warm and inviting with an absolutely sunny sun porch.
- Listened to the Cinnamon Bear with my students.
- put together my wool quilt - Time Began in a Garden. I needed the inspiration so I could continue the journey. It's getting there!
Happy Holidays
