They say it's my Birthday! Guess what - it's been my birthday for a week now! I celebrated last weekend by going to breakfast, two quilt shops, Costco, Red Lobster,a Taste Fest and my favorite shop in Crown Point, Indiana - Keepsakes on Broadway. At Keepsakes my friends Geri and Lori (the shop owner) cooked up a surprise for me. Geri bought this cool popcorn bowl for me and Lori added a popcorn kit to this package that they fixed up right in front of me - you're probably thinking - DUH, what are you doing while all this was going on? I can tell you - I was shopping! I bought this adorable little antique bear, called Old Bear. I've been trying not to do tchotchkes in my house but this little guy is different because he reminded me right away of a series of books written by Jane Hissey. The first book that I read was called Old Bear. Now I will have the book and the bear for school. Old Bear will be a nice compliment to Cinnamon Bear.
I also consider my trip to Marion, Indiana to see Mary Schafer inducted into the Quilters' Hall of Fame to be part of the birthday fun. I haven't made the movie for that trip but it's coming!
I did make a movie of my pictures and videos of Door County. I used a new program this time. I wasn't totally happy with it so I won't say what it was - I will say that I still like using Windows Movie Maker the best! It's great for a free program.
