Today is the last Thursday in the Month which means it's "Girls Night Out" at Keepsakes in Crown Point, Indiana. I pick up Geri at work and we start to drive to Crown Point in beautiful weather, okay - maybe it's raining a little and there are a few snowflakes drifting down from the clouds but we are on a mission! It does take about an hour to get to the shop - we know it's worth it. We were shopping and taste testing all the new food products that Lori has in the store when we heard thunder and saw huge bolts of lightening - EEEKKKK! When I looked outside we had at least an inch of snow covering everything! Oh no!!!!!!! This might not be good!!!! Geri and I quickly bought our items, made a little flower pot craft and got back to the car (and Molly). We were being pelted with little tiny ice balls! ICK!!!!! We drove back home and into the snow storm the whole way - it took 2 hours to get back. Although the roads were not icey (thank you God) they were snow covered enough that you couldn't see the lines for the lanes. Also we were driving through mostly back roads and farm country so I really had to keep my mind on the road! I could tell that even Molly was apprehensive because she didn't make a peep on the trip home. The odd thing about the whole trip - we always seem to have bad weather on the trip home from Keepsakes!
