I love Thanksgiving! It is my favorite holiday because it gives America a day to reflect, meditate and pray. I started the day at church,. It is consider the founding day of my parish and so I just decided to go - spur of the moment. I'm so glad I did - it was such an uplifting way to start the day. The Mass was filled with energy. We had all the choirs, the handbell group and a horn ensemble. It was awesome! I came out recharged!!!!!

For Thanksgiving Dinner I went to the home of Marilyn and Pete, two good friends! (Actually Marilyn is my sister from another mother, as my first graders like to say!) She is such a great cook. I think I saluted her (and Pete, the turkey-cooker) fine work with all my extra helpings. My favorite is her Sweet Potato Casserole! After dinner we relaxed, watched a little football and just talked. What a great day!

When I came home I took Molly out and we just sat and watched TV and vegged out!

Friday - I decorated for Christmas, cleaned out my china cabinet, washed windows and curtains. I was tuckered out -couldn't wait to go to work! LOL

I am ALWAYS thankful for the Thanksgiving holiday!
